Ty Calon Pupils Enjoy Educational Visit to the Senedd
Pupils from Ty Calon recently took part in a memorable and educational visit to the Senedd in Cardiff Bay.
During the visit, pupils learned that “Senedd” is the Welsh word for parliament and developed their understanding of how Wales is governed, including the role of the First Minister. The trip provided a valuable opportunity to explore how decisions are made and how they impact people across the country.
As part of a guided tour, pupils visited the main debating chamber, where Members of the Senedd discuss and vote on important issues affecting Wales. They also learned about key areas of responsibility, including education, health, transport and agriculture.
A particular highlight of the day was taking part in a range of interactive activities. Pupils enjoyed a voting game and had the chance to create and debate their own laws, helping to bring the democratic process to life in an engaging and accessible way.
The visit was a fantastic learning experience, and all pupils represented Ty Calon with pride. Their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm made the day a great success.
