Whitchurch High School Welcomes Students from New Zealand
Whitchurch High School is delighted to welcome a group of students from Wairarapa College and Nelson College, New Zealand, who will be joining us for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The students will immerse themselves in our education system, gaining valuable academic and cultural experiences, while also contributing to the vibrant life of the school. A key part of their visit will see them competing in the WRU Schools & Colleges Rugby League, further strengthening our sporting connections on an international stage.
Mr Williams, Director of Rugby at Whitchurch High School, commented:“It is a real privilege to host students from such prestigious schools in New Zealand. Rugby has always been a bridge between cultures, and I am confident this partnership will not only enhance their sporting journey but also create friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. We are looking forward to seeing them develop both on and off the field during their time here.”
Headteacher, Mr John, added: “This exchange is a wonderful opportunity for both our visitors and our own students. We are proud to be part of a programme that celebrates shared learning, international friendship, and the values of teamwork and respect.”
