We are proud to announce that the seconds (of many) expeditions for the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme at Whitchurch High has been a success!
Students walked from Southgate to Oxwich Bay before spending the night at Bank Farm. The participants have been working tirelessly throughout the year towards their Bronze awards with their skill, physical and volunteering sections of the programme. Pupils have been involved in sports coaching, academic mentoring, litter picking, and many more volunteering activities. We are very proud that these young people have been a service to the local community through their volunteering with Duke of Edinburgh, as well as becoming healthier, more well-rounded people through their involvement in their skill and physical sections.
However, all pupils finished the expedition with a smile on their faces, and a handful of new memories and friendships.
