Year 12 Geographers Visit Pwlldu Bay

AS Geographers ventured to Pwlldu Bay, Gower to investigate coastal processes such as longshore drift and transportation in physical form. Longshore drift is the process by which sediment is moved across a beach or transported along a coastline. The group used various measuring equipment to assess the movement of rocks along the beach and because it is a stone beach, the diameters of pebbles to stones to rocks up and down the beach.
