Whitchurch High School hosted Deputy Minister for Health and Wellbeing Lynne Neagle, who discussed with our Year 9 students about banning the sale of energy drinks to U16s and limiting takeaways near school premises to help improve both mental and physical health of young people. Nathan Brew, former Welsh Rugby International spoke about his usage of energy drinks at the start of his professional career and noted their negative impact on his performance. With Healthy Eating Week 2022 starting on Monday 13th June, it was a perfect time for the Welsh Government consulations to be initiated. Involve yourself in the Energy Drink Consultation and Food Environment Consultation to read more about the specific details and how you can voice your opinion.
